The Playful Progressive

Challenge

The craft beer category is awash with activist brands, who talk a good game but fail to live up to the hype.

Really Good Beer Society breaks the mould by actually doing what it says on the tin – brewing great beers that give back (with a B corp certification to prove it).

And with a strategic focus on high end bars and hotels, our design also needed to feel at home in a world of cocktails and canapés.

How do you create a brand with both purpose and poise?

Solution

We started by clarifying and crafting the brand personality born from their actions – A joyful optimist

Our branding system begins from this playfully progressive point, building out from a logo that is both kinetic and balanced in its execution – an endlessly revolving wheel of colour and typography.

Through applications that deliver expressiveness through idiosyncratic precision and lively geometry, RGBS

Really Good Beer Society

We had such an incredible experience working with Derek & Eric on our rebrand and redesign at Really Good Beer Society. Their ideas were always spot-on, bringing a fresh and innovative twist that matched our vision perfectly (and they explained the uniqueness of our brand better than we had ever managed to…)

Jon, Adam and Alex were all a dream to work with. They kept things clear and straightforward, hit all our deadlines (timing with a new batch of beer), and were super open to our feedback. The whole process felt like a true collaboration and we were utterly thrilled with the final results. The design turned out exactly how we hoped and has been getting great feedback from our clients. If you’re looking for a creative team that’s incredibly professional, capable but also a joy to work with, we can’t recommend Derek & Eric enough.
